Make this your best exam season yet

March 22, 2018

Exam season is upon us, and we want to help you get through it with as little stress as possible. We’ve created a list of Momentum Plus tools that will help you get in the zone, and make this your most successful exam season yet.

1. Autofocus

Autofocus is a feature that helps you prioritize your tasks and focus on one thing at a time.

Set your intentions by simply adding tasks to your Todo list. Prioritize by clicking and dragging your most important tasks to the top of the list. The Autofocus feature automatically pulls your top priority task from the list and displays it front and center on your dashboard until it is complete. Once you’ve completed your top priority, check it off and your next task will automatically come into focus. Turn on Autofocus by clicking the icon in the top right corner of the Todo widget and selecting ‘Autofocus’.

2. Countdown

Big deadline or exam coming up? This feature allows you to display a countdown clock right on your dashboard. Count down the days to an important date to keep yourself aware of timelines, and serve as the ultimate reminder not to procrastinate. Alternatively, if you find a countdown to the end of the semester or start of a vacation more motivating, set the date accordingly.

3. Multi-Todo Lists

Nobody likes staring down a Todo list with 40 items on it. With Plus, you can break down your tasks into multiple Todo lists. Instead of stressing about writing a history paper while studying for your biochemistry exam, divide your courses into separate Todo lists and channel your energy toward one subject at time.

Customize your Todo lists in whatever way works best for you. Organize by course, assignment, or chapter readings to help break down your big priorities into bite-sized tasks.

4. Balance mode

We know it can be hard to slow down and rest when you have a long list of things to do and a fast approaching deadline. Believe it or not, to be productive you need to make resting and recharging a priority. That’s why we created Balance mode.

With Momentum Plus, you can customize your dashboard to hide certain features when it’s time to relax. For example, you can set your uptime hours as 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., which means your downtime hours will be 5 p.m. to 9 a.m. During your downtime hours, productivity features — like Todo and Focus — will be hidden to help you relax and take your mind off your todo list. When these features disappear, you know it’s time to recharge, so you can be sharp and focused when you get back to work.

5. Custom Quotes

We all have different challenges when it comes to staying motivated, focused, and inspired. With Momentum Plus, you have the ability to add the quotes that mean the most to you. Personalize your dashboard with quotes from leaders who inspire you and are relevant to your current goals.
