We’ve been busy adding functionality to Momentum and prepping for even bigger improvements.

Background and Quote Sync

We’ve begun rolling out the next stage of our infrastructure for account sync. Your background and quote of the day will now sync across your user account.

If your background and quote is not syncing, log in by clicking on Settings in the bottom left and go to Login.

Next up, syncing the focus and then the todos!

Hotkeys

We’ve added hotkeys to allow you quicker access to Momentum widgets!

By default, Chrome focuses on the omnibar when you open a new tab. Press TAB twice to focus on Momentum and enable use of the hotkeys.

Chrome Tab

We’ve re-added a link to the default Chrome Tab page. This page allows you to quickly see your Bookmarks Bar and Most Visited links.

To go to the default Chrome Tab page, click Links → Chrome Tab. You can also access the Chrome Tab any time by pressing the hotkey C.

We have plans to make the Links widget more useful by adding a bookmark import and the ability to pin the Links widget.

Bug fixes and small improvements

Our latest release also had a number of bug fixes and preparation for our future direction of Momentum with full account syncing. We also rolled out a number of small improvements. For example, you can now share your quote of the day on Twitter, or add a local link to your Links widget.

What’s Next

Starting with syncing the background and quote allows us to test out our server infrastructure without risking your sensitive Focus and Todo data. Now that we are getting the kinks worked out, the next step is synced Focus! And coming after that, the Todos.
